1. How do l clean and care for my quartz surface? Cleaning your quartz surface is quick and easy thanks to the stain resistance of our exquisitely engineered material. For routine cleaning, simply wipe down your countertop with a damp cloth or paper towel and, if necessary, a small amount of neutral, pH balanced soap, e.g. Dawn. Leather finish quartz surfaces are more prone to showing signs of daily use. Given residual oil or other liquids may create a darker appearance, we recommend cleaning spills promptly and leathered area more frequently. USE NEUTRAL, PH BALANCED CLEANERS Minimal exposure to weakly alkaline solutions will not damage your quartz surface. Highly alkaline (high pH) cleaners, such as concentrated bleach, green solutions containing vinegar or lemon juice, are not recommended. We recommend using a neutral pH balanced soap, such as Dawn, to maintain the beauty of your engineered surface. Neutral pH cleaners can also be purchased directly from our manufacturing facility in quart or gallon volume sizes.
2. Can l place a hot pan or pot directly on my quartz surface? Maoteng quartz products are heat, scratch, stain and impact resistant, but not heat and scratch proof. We recommend using a trivet or coaster with hot skillets or roasting pans to preserve the beauty of your quartz surface.
3. Can I cut/chop directly on quartz? Quartz is scratch resistant, however not scratch proof. Never chop or slice food directly on your countertops. We recommend using a cutting board to preserve the beauty of your surface and prevent dulling of knives and cutlery.
